Pride March

The Sarajevo Pride March is scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2021, near downtown Sarajevo. The march will start at the Safet Isovic Park, proceed down Kosevo and Marsala Tita Street, and culminate in front of the BiH Parliament building.

A rally will then occur in front of the BiH Parliament building.

Counter-demonstrations

Counter-demonstrations are anticipated on Saturday, August 14 in the heart of downtown Sarajevo.

What to expect

Expect extensive road and sidewalk closures, traffic congestion (vehicle, pedestrian, bicycle, etc.), and random transportation disruptions throughout downtown Sarajevo from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  The use of alternate routes is encouraged, and otherwise expect extended traffic delays.

There will be heavy police, security, and organizational presence throughout downtown Sarajevo and areas surrounding the March route and rally locations.

Even events and demonstrations intended to be peaceful can become violent and unpredictable.  Avoid large gatherings and exercise caution when in the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, or demonstrations.
