The Embassy hosted U.S. medical technology company CareFusion for an educational seminar and demonstration of its mechanical respirators for adult Intensive Care Unit patients. Approximately 50 doctors, health administrators, and other healthcare professionals attended the event. Ambassador Cormack welcomed participants, stating, “It is a pleasure to host so many healthcare experts from around the country as you learn how American medical technology can help you to provide the very best services for your patients.” The event was an opportunity to bolster bilateral economic ties and to promote a U.S. company in the medical field.
