Demonstration Alert: U.S. Embassy Sarajevo, BIH (July 25, 2022)
Event: On Monday, July 25 at 19:00 and on Wednesday, July 27 at 13:00, two demonstrations will be held in front of the OHR building at Emerika Bluma 1 in Sarajevo. The demonstrations are related to reports that High Representative Christian Schmidt will impose changes to the Constitution of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the July 25 protest, traffic will be partially or fully suspended by local law enforcement and redirected through alternative streets from 19:00 to 21:00.
Remember to exercise caution when in the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, or demonstrations.
U.S. government personnel are advised to avoid areas of demonstrations. Spontaneous protests may occur without prior notice.
