Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES)

 

American Councils is proud to announce high school student exchange program YES. This is a fully funded (FREE) opportunity for high school students in Bosnia and Herzegovina to spend an academic year in the United States, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.  Students will live with a host family and attend a high school in the United States beginning in the Fall of 2018.

Eligibility Requirements

Students must be:

  • Currently enrolled in the first or second grade of high school in fall of 2017;
  • A citizen of BiH;
  • Proficient in the English language;
  • Born between January 1, 2001 and July 15, 2003.

Students take the first test on the day of registration.

To the registration students should bring:

  • a recent 3 x 4 cm photograph;
  • birth certificate, passport or student ID;
  • a pen.

Testing will be held on the following dates and at the following locations:

  • From 8:30 am-11 am in Sarajevo on September 16, 2017 at Druga gimnazija
  • From 8:30 am-11 am in Mostar on September 19, 2017 at the American Corner Mostar
  • From 8:30 am-11 am in Tuzla on September 21, 2017 at JU Narodna i univerzitetska biblioteka “Derviš Sušić” Tuzla
  • From 8:30 am-11 am in Banja Luka on September 22, 2017 at Gimnazija Banja Luka
