Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES)
American Councils for International Education is proud to announce an open competition for the YES high school student exchange program. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, YES is a fully funded (FREE) opportunity for high school students in Bosnia and Herzegovina to spend an academic year in the United States. Finalists will live with a host family and attend a high school in the United States beginning in the Fall of 2023.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be:
- Currently enrolled in the first or second year of high school in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- Born between January 1, 2006, and July 15, 2008.
- A citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- Have an academic standing of good or better.
- Have previously studied English and demonstrate English language ability at the time of registration.
- Meet US visa eligibility requirements.
Students with disabilities are encouraged to apply for YES and must be enrolled in secondary school in the Fall of 2022 and be born between February 15, 2005, and July 15, 2008.
