Ambassador Maureen Cormack presented the US Bronze Star Medal to Major Marinko Romic and Army Commendation Medals to Captain Miralem Čanić and 1st Lieutenant Hamdija Elezović of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AFBiH) at the event that took place on 9 February 2015. The soldiers were awarded for their leadership within the 115th Military Police Battalion during combined peace-keeping missions in Afghanistan.
In her remarks, Ambassador Cormack stressed: “Today, we not only recognize the service of three officers of the Armed Forces of Bosnia-Herzegovina, but we also pay homage to all the men and women in uniform who proudly serve this country and represent Bosnia-Herzegovina with honor and distinction.
